Bruchim
Ha-baim!

You may wonder why a rabbi might create a website.  I hope this site gives you a taste of who I am: as a rabbi, a teacher, a Jew, a woman, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend and a human being.

I am on a journey, like many, to make connections, build relationships, find God, spirituality and prayer.  I do so by living life one day at a time, while planning for tomorrow.

My rabbinate has been filled with many blessings and challenges, and the rabbi I am today is a true reflection of my experiences and the people whom I have met along the way.  The woman I am today is also a result of the many varied experiences I have encountered as a rabbi.  I joyfully and humbly share a flavor of my essence, my being, with you on this site.  You will find samplings of writings, my resume and personal statement, reflections about holidays, Israel, life cycle cents and lifelong learning, and many pictures reflecting the many souls I have been so privileged to encounter along my journey.

Thank you for taking the time to share this journey with me.
I hope you will add a comment or reflection as you see fit.
As this is a work in progress, please check back for updates,
and you are invited to follow my blog!

B'shalom,
Rabbi Deborah Bravo

This Hashkiveinu prayer was sung regularly during Shabbat evening services.
The warmth and spirit it suggests allows members of the community to  connect with prayer

and want to join in Shabbat and Holiday celebrations.
